I've been exploring coffee shops in Cambridge industriously and this one is by far one of my favourite ones, only comparable to Dom's coffee maybe. I absolutely love how tiny it is - no space for rowdy crowds of tourists or families with 10 unruly children yelling at the top of their lungs. This place is always dominated by a peaceful atmosphere, with 3-4 patrons present at most, and a nice people-watching spot by the window. Lovely homemade tiramisu, too.
Had a sandwich and some pastries, the pistachio croissant was buttery and soft with a rich filling, doughnuts was light, fluffy and filled with a perfectly tart apricot jam. Coffee left a bit to be desired as the flat white separated after a few sips
I couldn't pick a better covert from the rain.
I was very pleased with the warm welcoming and the gentle manners of the staff.
I was recommended to try the Mimosa cake (Modigliani cake) which is a cake that Italians bake to celebrate international women's day.
I was surprised with its taste and delicate texture and I strongly recommend this cake if you have the chance.
The Cannelloni and doughnut were really good and every other option were very tentative too.
