My husband and I got married here on Thursday, and what an amazing day it was! When we were looking for a venue over 2 years ago we fell in love with this place as soon as we saw it! We didnt want a church wedding but we wanted the place we got married to feel like a wedding venue, we didnt want it to have a hotel feel to it, and the stables (horseshoe suite) did not disappoint! Not to mention the grounds surrounding! We had many people commenting on how gorgeous the venue is, the food was delicious (especially the shortbread love hearts for dessert) and great portion sizes, the sausage and bacon butties being a big hit! Simon and Mckenzie were absolutely lovely and ensured that our day went without a hitch from start to finish! The resident DJ Rob was also a delight, very friendly, took the time out to speak to me and congratulate us, and also played excellent “cheesy pop” songs which we requested! The dancefloor was always occupied! I just want to give a big shout out to Mia, from day one of booking this venue she has been amazing, all my emails i sent she always replied, with a very friendly manner and nothing was too much to ask, she is excellent!
I would highly recommend this venue to anybody wanting to get married!
My only gripe, which is more with the bolholt than the stables was that the day after our wedding, which was good friday, there was a mix up with breakfast times! When reading the information it says that normal serving time is until 9am, except bank holidays which is 10am, which to me and all my guests that stayed over believe that good friday is a bank holiday, so when some people arrived for breakfast after 9am (having paid in advance) to be told that they had stopped serving was very frustrating, and even after many complaints made to staff a refund on the breakfast was not offered!
Fab night 1st July 2017 for my friends 50th, food was fab, staff great, however bar staff need to get their prices right, as kept getting charged different prices for same drinks all night £12.30 at one point for 2 Taboo and lemonade wow, having said that I would come back, as had a shamazing night.
We had our wedding at the stables on Saturday, everything was Absolutely amazing!! Thanks to Mia, Simon and all the other fantastic staff. The food was lovely, the room was decorated perfectly and the day ran seamlessly thanks to you all! Me and Chris can’t thank you enough!
Absolutely love this place. The management and staff are lovely to deal with. The grounds are beautiful and all the events I've attended have been extremely well run. Had the venue pie and peas recently at a WHN quiz night = gorgeous. Highly recommended; Gill at GEM
We had our wedding reception at the Stables on saturday, we had an amazing day everything was just perfect! Mia was fantastic whilst organising the wedding, anything we needed she was there and Katie and Simon were amazing on the day/evening. Again nothing was too much trouble. The room looked gorgeous, the staff worked so hard and everyone commented on how delicious the food was. Thank you so much for helping us make our day so special for us. Stefanie & Ben xx
We got married here on 10.06.2023. From the moment we chose the venue in July 2022 Sophie and her team have been helpful and nothing has been too much trouble, even with all the complicated dietary needs of the guests! Sophie kept us informed without being intrusive and was always available for even the smallest of questions. Kenzie as our Master of Ceremonies and her team on the day were brilliant, she knew exactly what we needed even before we did at times (notably handing me a cold glass of water when I arrived before the ceremony, very welcome on a very hot day!) and the team slipped in and served, moved tables and got things set up seamlessly without interrupting the flow of the day. The food was gorgeous and generous portions too. The venue was stunning and the perfect setting for our perfect day.
I organised a Charity Ball in the Hayloft Suite. On the month's running up to the event, Sophie from the Events Team was there to guide, advise and help me with anything I needed. The day before the event I went in to set up the room. Again Kensy and her team gave me all the help I needed, made some suggestions and plied me with coffee to keep me going. On the evening of the event, the food was superb! All the guests commented on how they enjoyed it! And the bar/waitress staff were great. All in all, brilliant service from all departments that made the event an amazing success and a lot of people (especially me!) very happy! Even when I went the next day to dismantle and collect my displays, the lovely cleaner appeared with coffee!
What more could you ask for?? Certainly be using this venue again.

Attended my Sons wedding this weekend. Found the stage to be very professional but not stuffy. They could not do enough for you or the bride and groom. The coordinator was attentive and very well organised. All round they made a great event into a better event.

My baby first birthday party was amazing
My friends and I had a fabulous time today- we used the swimming pool, jacuzzis steam and sauna rooms. Its was a great day out and very relaxing. Afterwards we had the afternoon tea which was exceptional and very good value for money too. All homemade and cooked on site- definitely recommend this- we were very well looked after by Abigail and the team. Thankyou for a wonderful time and great service!
