I discovered the amazing food a couple of weeks ago and have been back twice since. The food is amongst the best I've eaten and the staff are so friendly. I can't recommend Shazias highly enough. The food and ingredients are so fresh and unlike most take aways you don't feel that you've eaten unhealthy rubbish. Already can't wait for my next visit.
Best food I’ve eaten in a long time , great service, friendly staff , highly recommend
Tried this place as we were visiting bury and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the menu small so more has gone into the final meal. The service was lovely, prices good, the place is clean. Will defo be visiting again.
Shazia we have just eaten your beautiful Lahori Karahi which was unbelievably good. As is everything we’ve ever tried from Shazias
Street food. The food is so fresh and super tasty and always service with a smile. Can’t recommend enough!
The food is lovely and so tasty. Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
Food has good quality, quantity should be little more than what is serving now. The biggest concern was pricing.
Been going there for years..friendly owner..good food and good for Bury..have a few favourites especially the aloo tikki..😋
I have attended Shazia's street food on the 17th November 2021 and recently (as I am writing this review) 8th of June 2022 with my wife.
Both visits were around 5pm onwards so I can’t comment on really busy periods.
1st time we ordered:
Gourmet Lamb Burger (with Cheese)
1 x Fries
Chicken Mishkaki
1 x Chicken Seekh Kebabs (2 in a portion)
2 x Drinks
Total = £19.65
2nd time we ordered:
Gourmet Mixed Burger (Lamb and Chicken with Cheese)
2 x Fries
1 x Chicken Seekh Kebabs (2 in a portion)
Chicken Biryani
2 x Drinks
The burgers and must try chips always fresh but my Mrs was less impressed (but she is very picky) she thought the Chicken Mishkaki was okay and the Chicken Seekh were good also but loves her Biryani (Chicken only) and she always wanted to taste it from here and maybe I give her high hopes as I have read good reviews from here she stated the Biryani was not the best and wasn’t spicy she stated also that the rice they used is cheap but I can't verify this but she does love her rice! (only place she likes Biryani from is from a restaurant in Blackburn) she only ate some and had a lot left over as she started on the Chicken Seekh Kebabs instead.
I have not had the curries or anything from the breakfast menu but I had no complaints at all with my food.
The establishment is very clean, the front of house is not massive so if there are 4-5 separate customers decide to eat in it will hit maximum capacity to eat in, the menu is not huge to order from compared to other takeaways/restaurants BUT the food is like home-made food and fresh and tastes amazing so it compensates from this, price wise it is not cheap and it is not really expensive its in between if that makes sense.
Parking – you can park on York Street or Queen Street which are like a couple of minutes away from this food establishment.
They also have place to pray with a prayer mat this is located in the corner of the front of establishment with is a mega plus for me.
If I had to make a criticism (this is being picky) with the food we ordered I would state they lacked bit of spice (maybe you could order a spicy curry) also the 2nd time we visited we were still eating on closing time and I was kind of rushing to finish my food which was a shame as you can’t really enjoy it fully when you are rush eating, I asked the lady on the counter if she could pack my Chicken Biryani away to take out (as I was going to hand her the food) she proceeded to tell me to she will give me the tin to do this myself (first time this has occurred to me as all food establishments do this as this request is always honoured) I was happy to oblige this request as it is my food now in reality I asked for lid and we tend to put all of our plates together after we finish eating so it makes it easier for staff to clean up – other customers could take slight offence to this (as I was midway eating my meal when I asked for this to be packed away) another I state this as we were waiting for our food the staff did pack food for other customers who wanted to take it out (but I guess due to closing time the lady was undertaking tasks maybe misjudge my request).
I would definitely recommend a visit to this food establishment.
Lastly if you want fast food this is not the place for you if you want good home made style food (which take a bit of time to make) then this is your place.
Very good spicy treats any time of day. This Streetfood establishment is really really good with a great array of spicy treats. If you don’t like things spicy the this place isn’t really for you. The basic chicken curry, either on or off the bone are tremendous and the lamb dishes are so very tender as well as being spice perfection in a dish
There are all sorts of things to pick from including Biriani on certain days but for me the BEST PAKORAS in the area are Shazia’s stand out taste. There really isn’t anything as good anywhere else including the ‘premium’ restaurants around
This really is streetfood how I would imagine you’d get in the native homelands of this cuisine
Go for it and love it like I have over tge last 5 or more years …… oh and the Egg Cutlas …..WOW!!!
Went to Shazia’s street food kitchen yesterday & was greeted with a smile as we walked in! There was no rush from anyone on ordering, tables were clean and were given time to place our order.
Food came out piping hot, lovely fresh and tasty!!
Really happy with the food & service! Will definitely be coming back again!
