Staff were very pleasant, polite and helpful. Toilets were clean and well equipped. The cafe itself was a little untidy, large pile of boxes near the doorway. The cafe is not dog friendly, but there is an outdoor seating area where you can sit with a dog, including a large table under a marquee. There is also a children's play area. There is disabled parking and disabled access to both the cafe and outdoor seating. The prices are a little expensive but the food was mainly lovely. Ice cream is amazing, but the cones were a little soft, maybe need to be kept in an air tight container.
We sat outside as we had a dog with us and the table had not been cleaned. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area.
This has become one of our favourite spots to lunch out on a nice day. The food is always superb, and it's lovely to be able to sit out and let the kids play until it's ready.
It looks like there is some attempt at increasing the play options for little people, with a small road section, but unfortunately, most of the vehicles provided for play in this section have seen better days. This wouldn't put me off though, as we definitely come here for the food 🤣
If you like traditional home cooked food, you probably can’t go far wrong than here. Keenly priced, nice portion sizes and good service. Be warned though… make sure you leave space for desert - they’re amazing! I can recommend the apple and apricot crumble!
