We where looking for a decent place to eat as a family of 4. We booked our table at the Victoria and hoped for the best. The wait was a little longer than I am used to in pubs that serve grub, but when the food came this was understandable. The food served was not pub grub but excellent freshly prepared food that was well worth the wait. Catering for 2 adults and 2 fussy children the staff where friendly, helpful and attentive. Will definitely be returning and would thoroughly recommend trying this place

We looked at the menu the night before and decided to give it a go. The choice was excellent ranging from classic pub meals to more adventurous dishes. My wife and I both enjoyed the jalapeno poppers to start and had Thai curry for main. The standard of food including it's presentation was outstanding considering such a very reasonable price. You can tell only high quality ingredients were used in the food preparation. Of course when having the opportunity to dine out we do like to try and fit a desert in. The standard of the food continued into this menu. Myself and my wife can highly recommended the triple chocolate brownie with ice cream. All in all a very wonderful experience with very friendly staff. Thanks Victoria Hotel

90 pound for 3 of us for mother's Day for 3 courses each and alcoholic drinks was reasonable, the food is incredibly good for a small pub, the Eton mess was to die for, best I've had

I arrived at The Victoria to deliver the letters 'LOVE' for a wedding reception later that evening. The staff were welcoming, organised and supportive. It appears to be a well looked after, traditional British pub in an ideal placement that you can't miss. - Letters4u

My mum and dad (I'm a border collie by the way) had a meal here and I overheard them saying how much they enjoyed it. Oh and they brought me back a sausage which was woofin'. Anyways all the best to the staff and customers - Love from Barney sheepdog xx

Stopped off here for a quick drink and to watch the cyclist for IronMan going past with a group of friends. As we were waiting at the bar to be served the food coming out of the kitchen smelt great so we asked the girls on the bar for a quick look at the menu. The staff were brilliant, we asked them if they could stick the F1 on for us and they did straight away. We were indecisive as to whether to order food or not but one of the girls talked us round, we had a laugh and a bit of banter with her. The food arrived promptly & was homely, freshly cooked & tasty pub grub, all for a reasonable price. Highly recommend the Sunday Lunch & the Cheese & Onion Pie. Looking forward to our next visit already.

We’ve had a few takeaways in the past and all been great. But last Tuesday we visited to celebrate my mums life. I cannot express how great full I am. It was short notice and the buffet was fantastic. All who gathered loved the food. The staff we’re fantastic. Thank you all. I’ll be in for a meal instead of a takeout!

Couldn't be more pleased. When I rung asking if The Victoria could accommodate a group gathering for 20 people for 4 hours. We where offered 'The Snug' at the front of the pub this would be private and just for us, which is just what we wanted. The food was very nice, the staff were very helpful and I would be definitely be returning... Thanks so much for making my fathers 80th memorable.
