Had a Festive Afternoon tea and it was fantastic. Lovely filled sandwiches and fabulous cake selection. Biggest scones I’ve ever seen. I would highly recommend coming here. The service was excellent.
Going to come for a Sunday lunch I think now.
Had a delicious gluten free afternoon tea today! So much I had to bring some of the cakes home! Will definitely be back
Wow what can I say gorgeous food great choice on menu good service and reasonably priced.
I would highly recommend Banners.
Wow what a fantastic place, turned up without a reservation and they happily seated all 9 of us. Food was amazing and service fantastic would definitely recommend xx
Had the full garden breakfast. Food was OK. Veggie sausage had a weird taste I couldn't eat them. Would have preferred my toast on a separate plate. Husband had full monty. He also said it was just OK. Overall I think it was very expensive for what it was. £28 with drinks for 2 people.
Good food, good drink for a reasonable price!
My first visit and I'm blown away the decor is amazing with original art paintings that you can infact purchase, laid back boujee vibes. Attention to detail with table accessories, clean toilets, friendly staff but to top it off exquisite food. The lamb shank was to die for and there's a option to have it off the prix fix menu 2 for 15 or 3 for 20
Best food I've had in a long time
2 for 1 on cocktails on a Friday are big measures and strong.
All round 10/10
Happiest review I've made for a while.
Popped in for a breakfast bap. Great service, lovely food & a great price. An extensive menu at very reasonable prices. On our doorstep too, how lucky are we!
Very unassuming restaurant with a wonderful menu, great cocktail choices and the portions were perfect. The food tasted excellent and I will definitely be bringing my other friends to taste the menu, good value for money I think
Lovely Breakfasts, only downside was the Sausages, for an affiliated restaurant to the butchers I'd hope for real proper Sausages, not processed pale frankfurter type Sausages. Service was a little slack but generally OK. I wouldn't be put off going again.
Went with family on a Sunday. I had the crispy beef starter (regretted that a little, because though it was very tasty, the chilli burn, affected my first few mouthfuls of my main lol). I chose to have chicken and the rest of our party had beef. I didn't realise I'd missed out on a Yorkshire pudding by choosing chicken (which came with a little stuffing ball instead). The chicken was a little bit dry and the roasties consistency seemed like they had been kept warm for a while, but the rest of the meal was very nice. Staff were polite and pleasant
This place is an unnasuming little gem on a busy suburban street just waiting for you to discover it!
We've been meaning to visit for a good while now as have always been big fans of the takeaway hot food in Banners shop and we were kind of expecting the restaurant to be a similar style... Boy were we wrong!
The restaurant is small but has been styled beautifully with lots of natural wood, glossy polished wood, lush purple velvet and amazing artwork. It has a reall chic and cosy feel with a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff are all friendly and smiley and look like they are genuinely pleased to be there which always adds to the experience. Service was quick and efficient and there was never a time when we felt like we couldn't get a member of staffs attention if we needed to.
It is a small restaurant but the menu is quite varied with some interesting options to choose from.
While waiting for our meals we watched the chefs in the kitchen working efficiently and professionally and the plates of food coming out to other customers looked amazing. Everything was prepared to a really high standard and presented beautifully on the plate.
We shared a baked camembert for starters which was delicious with the lightly toasted bread and pickles. For mains me and my partner both opted for a hanging skewer, i had chicken tikka; he had teriyaki beef (and we shared) and they were both absolutely amazing! The meat was tender and full of flavour - the tikka in particular was outstanding with an unexpected mix of authentic spices that was different to any other tikka i have tried but in a uniquely pleasant way with just enough heat to make your tongue tingle and warm your mouth. It is obviously a bespoke spice mix and very well done at that. The mango salsa was fruity and sweet - the perfect pairing to the rich spicy meat.
The beef teriyaki was tender and moist and almost sticky with the marinade which was delicious and the accompanying salad had a really tasty dressing.
We finished our meal by sharing a chocolate brownie which was soft and fudgy and delicious.
My only critique for the entire experience is that i feel that although the fries were lovely, they didn't really complement the chicken tikka all that well and it would maybe do well with an accompianment of some crispy onion bhajis and a mint yoghurt raita on the side instead.
Overall we had a amazing evening dining at Banners and it has quickly made it's way into our favourite places to enjoy an evening meal! We look forward to returning to sample all the other delicious sounding dishes on the menu and will be reccomending to anyone and everyone.
