Booked a table here as a last minute night out. On the way to the restaurant we read some of the reviews and there was a fair few negative ones however... one mans rubbish etc. Now, having been to the restaurant and experienced it for ourselves, it concerns me that some people have access to the internet and feel it necessary to write such bad reviews from the comfort of their home rather than address their concerns whilst at the restaurant. Small businesses have been crippled by the pandemic and writing poor reviews is not helping. If you don't like the decor in a restaurant that much when out dining... just leave! If the food is that bad... tell the staff and give them the opportunity to rectify it! Don't politely say it was great and then go home to post a 2 star rating because your not a fan of some astro turf! Anywho...
We arrived at the restaurant and was greeted by the waitress. We were seated outside and the heat lamp was more than adequate to keep the lean to warm. The furniture is rattan and comfortable! The menu although small had a good selection. One thing they had which immediately impressed was pigs in blankets as an appetizer... you don't see that outside of December so of course it was ordered. Along with the chicken wings. Both dishes could have easily been sharers. The wings were something else. Crispy yet smothered in buffalo sauce. (Often find with saucy wings, the coating gets a bit soggy) so were already off to a great start. The mains 10oz fillet and 15oz Rump both with side salads and a dirty fries sharer. Again... the dishes could have easily fed four people. The portions here are super generous and the meat was great quality and cooked as requested! The waitress was so lovely and made sure everyone dining there this evening had everything they needed. Would recommend and would go back! Thanks Steak me out.
STOP! Look no further. THIS is the place to come for steak. I’m an avid steak house connoisseur, having been to places all over the world. This is in the top 3 places I’ve ever eaten. You can have a steak at any size. Sides were amazing. They have local cider, which was really tasty. Staff are super friendly. Outside area is nice, and heated as well.
I had a 20oz fillet, salad and Mac & cheese.
Eight of us recently came to to try the Sunday lunch at out Steak Me Out. It was actually their first foray into the bottomless brunch arena and I have to say we had an absolutely fantastic time!
It was a two hour sitting with a sirloin steak/lamb/pork belly roast with bottomless prosecco/sangria for £30. It was phenomenal value.
The service was fantastic and they weren't at all slow/stingy with the refills of prosecco. The steak was really flavoursome and they happily accommodated two gluten free members of our party without prior warning (my fault entirely).
Two very small things that I would say need slight improvement: a few more potatoes (they were delicious) and some more variety in the veg - perhaps consider roasting some of it.
I'd definitely recommend this place. It is unbeatable value for money and we'll definitely be coming back.
