As a visiting Welshman,was upon entry greeted with a smile and an enthusiastic Lady behind the bar,I asked for the possibility of a Carvery. Which was available.apart from 1 piece of beef,which was a bit chewey all was fine,made to feel welcome,1st time here. But to quote a famous Governor of I think,California...

Just had a Sunday carvery here. Food lovely and plentiful even though we arrived after 2PM. Great value would definitely recommend .Staff all very friendly, overall a very pleasant experience 😃

The landlord Mark and the landlady Sarah are very family orientated people with young children of there own, the pub has a bar and lounge eating area which is very clean tidy and popular with local people, they do a wide range of foods and a lovely Sunday roast, a big car park and easy access for the disabled,and people with learning disabilities. We some weeks ago called in the kings head for the sunday carvery, and now we go every sunday for dinner. Food is great and the staff are very helpful, we would recommend this pub to anyone , a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Always have time for their customers no matter what.

My daughter and I visited here on Friday evening while visiting my son at university. We had a very nice meal and drinks which were reasonably priced. The manager was helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Have only ever been to The King's Head twice previously - each time following a funeral at the local crematorium, many, many years ago.
On each occasion, fairly unimpressed.
However, went there today ( again, after a funeral ) and what a little gem.
Served by 2 Scottish barmen (charming), decent ale, really tasty food and a wonderfully convivial atmosphere.
Good food, cosy surroundings, very good value.
Wish it was my local ...
Would go there again ... just need someone to die to justify the visit.
