Great Coffee
Friendly Staff
The Perfect Place To People Watch
Good Costa Coffee where the staff always do their best despite being understaffed at times. Good vibe from the staff and good drinks well made to standards.
There is inside seating but the outside seats are a great place to watch everyone going by. The coffee is OK and the cakes are hard to resist!
Friendliest staff of all the Costas I've been to. They are very good with me and my daughter and have often helped with prams and tray carrying.
Sadly there is never enough staff. They are worked like dogs.
Nice coffee shop. A quiet place to relax.
Best soya cappuccino I've had, made by Rio, since Costa introduced their new dairy free milks. Nice location and friendly staff.
Standard Costa branch. Acceptable coffee and range of cakes, as you would expect from this chain. Tables are a little too small making it difficult to work or study here while having a drink. The staff are the biggest asset this store has, appearing genuinely polite and friendly.
If you want any kind of nice coffee then this is the right place for you. Staff are friendly and professional. I love to watch how they are making coffee.
But that's not all, they are doing proper recycling too!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Absolutely recommended place.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Costa's Clifton is a excelent coffee shop, you could drink a tea or/and coffee, eat some delicious snack and sit and enjoy the area.
Cleanance is a small fault that sometimes happen there.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Food and drinks tasty and service was quick. We will return.
Great location, friendly & helpful staff. Some of the best coffee in town.
I must say I find the first comment difficult to take seriously. The owner of one of those chains mentioned lives in Bath and the chain progessively expands throughout the south west. The other may have started in Bristol but can no way be considered a local independent now it has City backing to expand nationwide.
To quote a trade newspaper: "Loungers, the fast-growing cafe/bar restaurant group backed by private equity group Piper, has identified a potential to operate at least another 250 Lounge sites across the UK as it reports a 27.6% rise in full-year EBITDA to £3.14m."
I bet most of those 250 sites could be considered non local but could be considered a benefit in many ways to their local communities.
Good luck to them, I say. You can’t knock hard graft.
I understand there was local disappointment when the previous news agents closed after so many years but the poor people wanted to retire and, I hear, now earn at least a part of their pension renting out the premises to this Costa franchise.
Does the commentator want another empty shop or does he want the old couple to work themselves into the grave?
If you do allow yourselves to sample the excellent coffee in this Costa and take a minute to chat to the friendly staff, you’ll learn that they all live in Bristol, are glad to have a job in Bristol and pay taxes in Bristol. (I wonder how long they’ll have to work to pay the taxes to cover the cost of the legal attempts by the council to keep this yet another empty shop.)
