Celebrated my sisters 40th birthday here with an afternoon tea. The savoury and sweet options were all delicious, full of flavour and homemade! The tearoom is in a great location along the river and full of character. Overall a lovely place, will definitely be back to try out more of the menu!
Was treated to afternoon tea here by a friend who'd been given a voucher as a Birthday gift. The building is lovely. It was one of the best afternoon teas I've had, couldn't eat it all but got to bring it home. Unlimited drinks, beautiful fresh food including a small cup of soup, quiche, sausage roll, sandwiches, scone, cake, biscuits. Definitely worth a visit.
We always look forward to our weekly breakfast (& occasional lunch) at Bishop Percys.
The 16th Century building has been sympathetically furnished and there is always a warm welcome. Nothing is too much trouble when a variation to the menu is requested, providing it's in stock. The food is freshly prepared and we can't fault it.
The staff are happy and friendly so there is always a pleasant atmosphere where there is a good mixture of locals and visiting tourists.
Definitely worth a visit - breakfast, lunch or even a coffee and homemade cake.
