We had our Wedding at Friern Manor on 14th October 23. It was absolutely amazing! Friern Manor is a beautiful location and venue. The staff were absolutely amazing. Very professional, friendly and attentive. They made the day run so smoothly. The food was absolutely amazing and all our guests made comments on how good the food and staff were
Couldn't fault this venue at all, however one thing to note is that they have a PA (audio system) in the Ceremony room which you are not allowed to use. We had to provide our own audio equipment to be able to have music during our ceremony and someone to operate it. In my opinion, the facility to be able to have music at your Ceremony should be standard.
Bearing this in mind, the staff and smooth running of the day kind of made up for it.
As a wedding guest, I was truly impressed with every aspect of the experience. The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful grounds and a charming, historic ambience. It provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable wedding celebration.
The staff went above and beyond to ensure a seamless and enjoyable day for all guests. They were not only professional but also exceptionally friendly and accommodating. It's clear that they take great pride in making every wedding special.
The attention to detail in every aspect, from the décor to the food and service, was outstanding. The wedding I attended was a testament to Friern Manor's commitment to excellence.
I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the perfect venue to celebrate their special day. It's a place where beautiful memories are made.
We had our twilight wedding at Friern Manor in October 2023 and it ended up being a lovely evening and lovely event! The food was good, the resident DJ was absolutely fabulous and the venue is intimate and cozy, which is the vibe we were going for for our autumnal wedding.
There were however parts of the running of the day which made us quite flustered and upset, particularly at the start.... We were greeted by a member of staff who was less than friendly and really made the running of the morning way more difficult that it needed to be. She was abrupt and not welcoming at all, even rolling her eyes at me when I was a little shocked to see a massive JOY sign outside the front of the building (which was never communicated to us, despite visiting the venue 6 days before to sort some sort of order out). I understand that friern manor is more than just a wedding venue and hosts Christmas parties but, you wouldn't expect to see very large Christmas decor plastered outside the front of the venue before even Halloween had been and gone..! Thank god our photographer is a genius and could edit this out! Even our photographer was shocked it was there and how garish it was and was also stunned that they hadn't communicated this with us prior, especially as we've paid a really good amount of money for the venue - we all felt (bridesmaids and our families) that we were sold something we didn't get in regards to bits of the venue.
This particular member of staff made me feel quite upset the morning of the wedding so I was pleased when we were handed over to our evening staff member, Kai, who was absolutely incredible! I cannot rate Kai enough - he really made our night and was so incredible. My husband and I cannot thank him, in particular, enough! If Kai wasn't part of our day we would have felt let down.
The bedrooms for getting ready in are also incredibly dated which is a shame but, functional all the same.
Overall, our wedding was absolutely brilliant and everybody had such a good time but the morning of the wedding was hectic and stressful, made worse by a less than helpful member of staff.
