Both the B&B and the pub are amazing! Beautiful room, delicious food (loved the full English breakfast, the Sunday carvery, and all the other meals. Their sausage is some of the best I’ve had, and we tried many different items from the menu and all were delicious!), and a great selection of ales and other beers, rotating often to provide the opportunity to try many different and amazing beers. Plus the service was excellent...always friendly and helpful, and trying to ensure you are well cared for. The owners Steve and Chris made us feel welcome and at home from the minute we arrived through the moment we left. Both the nicest, friendliest, personable and genuine guys you could ever meet. And on top of that I made some great new friends there who all welcomed me as if I’ve known them my entire life. Such a great pub. I highly recommend it! Can’t wait to return someday!
Stayed for one night, nice warm room with plenty of space, the breakfast was excellent. We also had an evening meal, the food was also very good, the lamb rump was cooked to perfection. The jolly farmer is a proper pub with great staff, a good selection of beers and a pub atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay.
Have eaten in here a few times and the food has always been top draw, my wife was upset last night that they had run out of the mackerel pate so had the cauliflower and cheese soup instead, her disappointment didn’t last long, the soup was amazing, I had garlic prawns and we both had a burger which is one of the best in the county.
Great staff, great service, great pub and very reasonably priced, the only disappointment for me was that I was full up and didn’t have room for a pudding.......
