I'm having real trouble trying to find stuff wrong with this place.
The theme of the restaurant is spot-on and right up my street: the 80s! The décor is well done, and you immediately get the sense of the 80s theme with the retro-arcade/vinyl record styling. There are also comfy seats too if you just want to come in for a cuppa and some board games.
The food there is incredibly good and has fairly low prices to match it. The variety on the menu is typical for a café/restaurant (so they have your burgers, all-day breakfasts, standard breakfasts and other fairly simple main meals), but that's not a detriment to them at all, as they make these meals very well. Every single meal I've had so far has been enjoyable. And, with most restaurants, they've got various alcoholic drinks that should suit your fancy.
The best part I think is the staff. They're incredibly friendly and inviting (but not to the point where they're annoying) and all members of staff I've met so far seem to take a genuine interest in the welfare of the customers. Definitely something that doesn't go a-miss, especially for a (very) new company at the time of writing this! They also don't seem to shy away from doing things off-menu (providing it isn't wildly so) - I know a coke float isn't the most complex thing to ask for, but I asked for one, and they did it. By the way, it was very yummy!
If you are in the area, please do give these guys a visit! Providing the level of service I got happens across the board, I promise that you won't regret it. And if you're a fan of them, ask for a coke float, and let them know Luke sent you!
Really enjoyed our visit here. Ended up staying for a few hours. It's good for all kinds of visitors, couples, friends, families. Pop in for a quick coffee, or order food, play some games and stay for longer. They've arcade games and board games, a pool table, foosball and activity packs for kids. Arcade games, pool and foosball are 50p a go. Board games and activity packs are free.
The food is decent portions for a good price. We had the double burger and a single burger, both with added bacon and cheese, both came with fries, salad and coleslaw, a kids meal, a bacon buttie and chips, plus 4 drinks, for £33. It's nice to not break the bank when you take the kids out!
The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. Food is tasty and lots to choose from at a good price. We'll definitely be going back, I recommend you give it a try.
Lovely retro themed, brand new cafe. Food delicious and a good price. Delivery of food and drink was a little disorganised but staff were so friendly that we didn't mind. Loved the atmosphere and will be back with more friends 😊
