I love this place.
Lovely food, very friendly staff and ponies, ponies, ponies!
What more could you want?
Unfortunately, it seems that the lease on this pub/restaurant is up and the venue closes on 17/10/2021.
Hopefully a new buyer can be found because this is a really lovely location and venue. OK, it's not cheap, but on a beautiful summer's day, sitting outside, overlooking the fields and horses...your cold beer tastes extra special.
I had the pleasure of chatting with the farm and business owner's son, who was really welcoming and informative.
By the way, on the last night before closing, they are having music and food...I believe it's ticket only? I'll try to get my name down.
Highly recommended.
Five of us visited for the Sunday carvery lunch. Two were vegetarians and chose the leek tarts, which they said were excellent.
Two of us had the pork and one the turkey, we chose the medium size which was very generous.
The selection of vegetable was good, nice to see red cabbage making an appearance.
We were to full to have a dessert, but the menu looked enticing.
The price was very reasonable. The staff very helpful and friendly.
We will definitely visit again.
