It's a very nice place to have romantic/group dinner. Wide variety of choice and lamb is halal. The food is delicious!
We visited this restaurant this evening 3rd September 2020 and would only give this 5 stars out of 5,service was absolutely 1st class, restaurant very very clean a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. I had the lamb chops with all the trimmings and it was the nicest meal I've had in an indian restaurant,my partner had the bhuna and hes so fussy but he throughly enjoyed it,we also took a takeaway for my father in law king prawn curry onion bhajis etc! and that was 10-10 too. Price of meal and drinks was very good too.Definitely highly recommend this restaurant and we will certainly go back the next time we visit kirton. THIS RESTAURANT DESERVES TO DO WELL.
Thankyou for a lovely evening.
Very good curry, had a few in my 70odd years and this is right up there, you can always tell a good Indian restaurant by the onion bahjis and this is one of the best. Now our local. Two minor points. The napkins could be better quality and bigger, plus the lighting is to bright. Takes nothing away from the food it was great. We'll done staff too.
Just had a takeaway, great food again, can't fault it, arrived on time and tried a different dish as well still superb, thanks for having a great restaurant and it's our go to place.
From Sheffield but have family in Boston. This is simply the best Indian we’ve ever had and there’s plenty of choice back home. Food is unbelievable and the staff are really friendly and can’t do enough. If you live anywhere within an hours drive it really is worth visiting. 5* + from us. Thanks we’ll be back again!
Just had our first meal at the Saffron in kirton. When entering the restaurant we were welcomed and shown to our seats by a friendly member of staff. The surroundings were clean and well decorated but we could of done with the heating put on as was very cold which several other customer's also commented on. We ordered our drinks and perused the menu. There was not as much choice as we have had before. Also some of the items did not have description of what the dishes consisted of for the customers like us who are not use to having an indian meal regularly. So it was a bit of a stab in the dark. All of our meal was hot and we did not have to wait to long. But the samosas were very spicy hot and we asked for mild and one of the dishes had bones in it and we asked for boneless. The 2 main dishes were very similar in taste and were both very tomato flavoured. The naan peswari's were yummy and very filling. All in all we had a nice evening but were let down by the cold quiet atmospheres. A little background music would have been nice. And the very tomatory mains. We would try again but will be asking what the dishes consist of next time. Staff were very good and price average.
