Long haired gent held the door open for me as I caught him on his way for a smoke, to my surprise he ran behind the bar to serve me! Great prices considering proximity to the station, and a handy way to relax after a train. The music choices will keep you on your toes in the best way. Yeah it looks a little rough around the edges but that’s what pubs are all about :) service was great would definitely come back!
Cracking music pub with a good stage and sound set up. Horrible weather meant I didn't checkout the beer garden but it seemed busy. Nice choice of beers, friendly bar service and an "interesting" mix of punters. Parking g is awful but the railway station is across the road
We got stranded in Bolton as they cancelled the train as a pelican was mowed down on the tracks. So we came out of the station and low and behold, there it is. Like a beacon shining, calling us over. Upon entry to this quaint tavern, I approached a local asking whether there was a Ronald of McDonald's in the vicinity. Sure enough he obliged and provided me with directions, whilst my travelling companions ordered some nice refreshing beverages; whilst we awaited the rescue party. The pub has a traditional Lancastrian feel with period fixtures and fittings. There is a stage for love performances of some exciting live performances. The range of drinks is quite good with all the favourites. The real jewel in the crown here is the service. If I am ever in the area again I will endeavour to end up here. Truly remarkable.
