Last went here when it was Allen’s fried chicken - so several years ago. Tried for the first time since it had a revamp and changed to Wingville a few nights ago and we really enjoyed it.
They have added milkshakes and cakes to the menu, which we tried and were both good. We had the family variety meal which was £13 and included 6 pieces of chicken, 10(I think) chicken wings, 3 x chips, large gravy and large beans. Plus a bottle of Pepsi. I would say that is quite good value. All of the food seemed hot/fresh and tasted good, even though we ordered late at night.
I commented to my partner that the chicken wings had a lot more meat on them than the equivalent from KFC.
Overall pretty happy, would return.
Called here with my girlfriend and had a selection of burgers and habenero hotwings plus a couple of milkshakes. The food was really good. The wings especially went down really well with us and my son enjoyed them too.
It is no longer called Allen's fried chicken, not really sure what it's called anymore but no matter, the chicken was nice, lacking abit of flavour (bland) but was still good. What made it taste better was the chicken gravy, which was very good indeed. I would go to again and I would recommend. If your just going to drizzle some sauce over the wings then you need to say it's a drizzle and not call them "peri Peri or buffalo wings" maybe think about a small pot of the sauce but please make sure there is enough to cover the whole wings.
Just few tweaks ere and there and it will be spot on.👍👍👍
