I booked afternoon tea at the Coffee Shop for a group of friends. Mark was really helpful. We had the Snug at the back of the shop which is very private, away from other customers but close enough to Mark and colleagues if we needed any help. The sandwiches were served on delicious artisan breads with 3 various fillings - one meat, one fish and one veggie. These can be altered according to taste and requirements. They were lovely. Freshly made scones with butter, jam and clotted cream. We also had a number of mini cakes e.g. Brownies, cheesecakes amongst others. At the end we were also presented with lemon sorbets in little glass pots. A lovely touch. Everything was beautifully presented on little picnic tables. A really different idea. We had choice of teas/coffees and soft drinks. Service was good and discreet. The shop closes at 4 but we were not rushed out we left around 4.40pm. We would absolutely recommend the Coffee Shop and we will return! Thank you very much for a lovely afternoon to Mark and Staff!
Enjoyed a delicious lunch and coffee here today. Good menu with toasties, sandwiches on a good choice of artisan breads and light bites. I had halloumi on 6 seed bread with rocket drizzled with balsamic vinegar with chutney and a demi tassel of soup which we discovered is like a little shot pot. Rounded off with a gingerbread latte. Comfortable surroundings served by friendly staff who know there produce. Plenty of surrounding street parking. Apologies if I have any of the ingredients wrong or missed. Well worth a visit and a return visit.
Had a baby shower afternoon tea party in the snug at the coffee shop. Excellent food, excellent service and friendly staff. Highly recommend a visit. X
