This pub is a hidden gem, offering a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food with options for everyone, including vegans and vegetarians. The rear garden boasts a stunning view, adding to the overall experience. Highly recommend for a laid-back, tasty meal.
This pub is a little gem hidden away in an old mining village village. The locals are friendly, the beer is great and a great menu on offer. From the road it looks nice but venture to beer garden for a view that’s absolutely stunning.

Popped in for a loo break and shelter from the rain with my wife and her sister. Never tried the food, so can't comment on that aspect.
However, from a friendliness and hospitality perspective they were fabulous. Far from having a 'local pub for local people attitude' they were very warm and welcoming. My sister-in-law has mobility issues and had a walking frame. The manager 'Johnny' immediately brought out a ramp for her to get down the step and we sat at a table with a fabulous view over the local countryside.
Served at the bar, by the loveliest, smiliest lady ever. Katy was genuinely warm and friendly and a fab ambassador for the pub. Smile as lovely as the view from the window. 🌞
Also got biccies for our dog 😊. Oh and ample car parking.
Friendly pub with fab staff. Will return next time we pass.
