I popped into the Livingston cafe for a light bite, after walking part of the Clyde walkway.
It's lovely and bright, friendly service. Good selection of dishes on the menu for a wee place.
Keep up the good work.
A lovely dog friendly cafe 😊 Henry loved his sausage. 🐾🐾
The David Livingstone Birthplace has captured my heart with its enchanting setting by the river and easy access to scenic woods. It's a true gem that offers an incredible walking experience and showcases stunning gardens that are an absolute delight to explore.
But let me tell you, the real showstopper for me is the charming café. Not only is it nestled in a picturesque spot, but it also boasts a kid-friendly menu that's a big hit with my children. Every visit is a guaranteed joy for them, and I can't help but appreciate the welcoming staff and the fantastic food they serve up.
One thing I truly admire is their commitment to constantly improving the garden and playground areas. It's a testament to their dedication to creating a space that's not just static, but evolving and exciting. And let's not forget the seasonal events they organize, especially for the little ones during summer, Easter, and more. The David Livingstone Birthplace transforms into a hub of activity, catering to various interests and gatherings throughout the year.
While I haven't had the chance to explore the museum just yet – it was temporarily closed for refurbishing – I'm eagerly awaiting its reopening. With the overall experience being this exceptional, I have no doubt that the museum will be just as remarkable.
In a nutshell, the David Livingstone Birthplace comes with my wholehearted recommendation. It's a place where nature, history, and hospitality come together to create an unforgettable experience. Five stars, no doubt!
