Amazing experience on 29th July, our server Amira was really lovely and friendly, the atmosphere and aesthetic was wonderful and the food was the best Indian I've ever had! Totally deserving of 5 stars, the perfect end to a birthday weekend out in Blackpool, I couldn't recommend this place enough. All the staff were nice and welcoming and we were even told the recipe for their green sauce is top secret and homemade by one of the employees mother's which was a nice homely touch. Loved it, thanks so much to everyone at Twisted.
I booked a large group for my husbands 30th, Amira was fantastic and patient when taking our pre orders and last minute orders communication was fast and helpful. The decor and atmosphere at twisted is lovely, perfect for any occasion and the food came out quickly and the quality was superb, honestly the best meal I've had in a long time and I can't wait to visit again soon.
I'd seen reviews of here before our trip so I had it in mind to visit at some point. We eventually got a chance our last night and we chanced it without reservation. Luckily we were early and they could accommodate us. The menu is short but sweet. Different options including lamb, chicken, prawns and veggie.
The twisted bit is how they interpret Indian food. We both love Indian food and have had several in different countries so we are always open to new options. We were not disappointed.
I had the cauliflower pakora for starters which, for some mind bending reason, made me think it was chicken! It was so flavourful and lots of it. Husband had the chicken seekh rolls which were also incredibly tasty. The dishes arrive in thali style plates and it just ups the experience. Loved it. The green sauce they give you on the side is fabulous, it's mustardy, hot (spicy) and refreshing in equal measure. If they bottled it I would've brought it home!
For mains I had the king prawn karahi with twisted rice and chapati. There was lots of prawns which was fabulous, the twisted rice was OMG. I could die happy if I had a trough of that. Husband had the butter chicken which he loved but he said he could've had a little more spice but not too much. But as butter chicken is mild it was very moreish. He had the pilau rice and a chapati. The bread is very very good, lighter than naan and easier to mop up all those sauces, fantastic.
We finished off with dessert (be rude not too) I had the chili brownie and husband had the orange chocolate brownie. Mine just tasted like a normal chocolate brownie which was very rich and gooey ( I probably couldn't taste the chili as I had lots of chili in my meal) but the hubby's chocolate orange was really orangey (I was jealous).
Overall a great experience, food was outstanding and staff very pleasant and efficient. We will definitely be back.
