A few months ago we dined @rozurestaurant and it was fairly new. The restaurant has one of the best interiors I have seen in Birmingham. Very welcoming staff and the vibe and atmosphere is so good. You don’t want to leave. I like that the bar is very central and you have booths surrounding the restaurant. With a private dining room at the front. It is very closed off so you really have privacy. We only had a assortment of small plates which we all agreed the best one was the Hirata buns. They tasted so delicious 😋. Really was made to perfection, and the flavours where very complimentary. The other plates were ok, I ordered coconut rice and it was hard, my friend ordered prawns and they were sloppy but they should have been fried. So we did have to send some back, because of the wait and the temperature. This was rectified swiftly. The staff had so much energy and really made our visit so much worth while. I will return again on the basis of this restaurant has a lot of potential and has seen some big improvements since my last visit. •Small plates: Rock Shrimp: Deep fried sweet shrimp finished off with wasabi mayo Hirata Buns (Bao Buns): Shrimp In house made buns, Steamed & filled with choices of fillings w/ passionfruit infused mayo, comes with kimchi salad. Lil’ Lobster Rolls (Banh Mi): Little mini sub roll stuffed with juicy pieces of lobster w/ garlic butter & aioli (perfect for sharing) Jasmine Rice Sushi Rolls: Twisted California Maki Tiger prawn tempura rolled in marinated rice & nori seaweed w/mango, parmesan & sweetened red onions Rating: Food - 6/10 Drinks - 10/10 Service - 7/10 Ambience - 8/10 💷💷£40.90
