Edward tea house is a must if you are in Birmingham art museum.
English tea and scones is one of the most traditional from British cuisine.
They served tea in teapots and scones with strawberry jam and butter.
Only one thing was missing was more traditional printed English tea cups and saucers .
Price was 7 pounds for four Mini scones with one tea pot.
Decor was beautiful . I was there yesterday on Friday at 1:00 pm and it was fully occupied.
Stumbled across this place by mistake, walking through the museum into a fantastic room. We enjoyed tea, coffee, cake.. the menu looked interesting, and the food being served looked good.. although my Dad and I only had tea and cake..
the staff we helpful and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed.
Had afternoon tea for one but there was plenty enough for 2 people. 6 different sandwiches, 4 mini scones with large pots of jam and clotted cream, 4 mini cakes and a cappuccino. And 10% off on Tuesdays so that was a nice surprise! It's always a pleasure to eat there. The staff were a bit slow clearing some of the tables though.
