Really loved this place. We used to have a couple of Café Rouge branches in the west side of Manchester and we loved dining there. But now all closed in our area, so we took this opportunity to have lunch in this Café Rouge branch while we were on travel.
Lovely food, great taste and very pleasant staff serving the food & drink.
Our first visit to Cafe Rouge Stratford upon Avon and we were disappointed. Valentine's Day afternoon tea for myself and my wife started with Izak explaining that we could have bottomless teas or coffees and that Chef would start preparing our sandwiches and cakes. When the platter arrived it looked very appealing, lovely toasted sandwiches topped with cheese. Very tasty, Peter arrived with more teas, then we moved on to our cake choice. I was so full I left one cake. Thank you very much, a lovely afternoon.
After lots of walking was famished, so popped in for lunch. TIP before going into from the high Street, check out their stand that may offer you additional discounts by scanning the QR code.
There is a step free access for the restaurant at the side, which is nicely decorated. The building is old, so it is higledly pigerdly with a querky layout. Toilets are upstairs, though. Loved the decor it added to the charm of the place
The food was okay and good value when discounts applied. The menu had changed from my last visit to a cafe rougue, so it wasn't what i was expecting.
Service was good and it pays to listen in when the waitress was explaining about further discounts available from the poster stand outside the cafe... 😀
