My partner and I called in here for a spot of light lunch. Our first visit here so we didn't know what to expect.
I had the goats cheese and walnut salad, I'm not a lover of mustard so I asked for this to be provided in a separate dish, which was accommodated without fuss.
Both meals were nicely presented and served by a polite, courteous and pleasant waitress. There was a mixup with the wine, however this was immediately rectified without a fuss.
The salad was lovely, the mustard dressing was surprisingly tasty, after sampling it first I did add a small amount as a dressing which really enhanced the flavour. I thoroughly enjoyed my salad.
My partner had the prawn ciabatta and remarked that it was lovely too.
We noticed on our way out that there was a self-service area that facilitated tasting various wines, a prepaid card is required from the bar aparrantly. This is a feature that I have not seen elsewhere, something unique to try on our next visit.
The only negative comment by way of constructive criticism is that the door to the outside kept being left open, resulting in a cold uncomfortable draft, causing me (& another client on an adjacent table) to pause the meal to go and close it on several occasions. A self closing door would be welcomed.
A very enjoyable experience here, tasty and well presented food, served by pleasant & friendly staff. The venue is presented well and has a relaxed, unintimidating vibe. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again.
Lovely place, clean bright, nice staff, dog friendly, outside, it was a hot afternoon and they offered to bring my little dog a bowl of water, nice to sit with a lovely cup of tea and watch the world go by for a little while.
Very nice place, good atmosphere but a bit on the expensive side.
