Lovely country pub with a lovely atmosphere. The food was excellent and served hot. Rob and his wife were very welcoming and very friendly.Couldn't fault anything. We stayed with our friends for two nights on the campsite which at first didn't look great but actually loved it and would recommend the site, food and location to anybody. Nice walk along the footpath into Billingshurst about 30 minutes, lovely small village with good coffee shops pubs and shops. Dog walk field adjacent for off lead walks.
We had a really nice visit with our dog in the evening sitting. Really nice atmosphere being all candlelit, although it did strain my eyes a bit after a while. Food was of a good standard and we will definitely return
I had a delicious meal this evening, steak pie, lovely chunks of meat, no fat at all in a rich gravy with perfect mash and veg cooked just right.
Staff were lovely (shout out to Mae who is delightful), hard working and attentive . All staff were clearly very busy which is always a good sign and my meal did not disappoint.
The pub is also fab, like stepping back in time, a proper old fashioned Inn, bags of character. I sat outside on the many benches to eat my meal.
