The staff were friendly helpful and efficient from the moment we arrived. We ordered drinks at the bar and they brought them to us once we had found a table outside in the attractive garden.
Unlike another pub I visited recently we were provided with table service despite being outside with everything being put on a tab. We were bought blackboards with the menu on, ordered and the food arrived in reasonable time . Mains and deserts were all well prepared and very tasty. We were also able to order more drinks from the table. A member of staff even came to tell me to tell me I had left the lights on in my car!
Lovely old pub with nicely done extension and lots of outdoor seating. Big car park too. Hard to fault it really and we will definitely be back.
I can not comment on the rooms as I did not stay, but the service at the restaurant was exceptional. The food sublime the decor is atmospheric and the staff warm and friendly. I had the smooth chicken pate with The Three Chimneys chutney with granary bread. I wish I could have bought the chutney it was divine. This was followed by a pan-fried fillet of seabream with potatoes topped with spinach with an Asian broth. The tastes and textures of the dish made it sublime. It was a real treat to find a pub with such a choice of mouth watering offerings. They also serve local wines. I definitely recommend you try The Three Chimneys. Whilst you are waiting for your food, you can immerse yourself in the intriguing history of the building. A big shout out to Chef Gary, Sophie, Ellen, Luke, and Maddie. Under Sophie's direction, the service was run impeccably.
Friendly staff efficiently maintaining good service with constant turnover of customers. Our food was tasty, fresh and perfectly cooked. Adequate portions. Plenty of outside seating and calm inside in a lovely old pub untouched by current 'trends'! Long may it stay that way. Overall a good experience...thankyou
