The specialty is Punjabi cuisine with a good number of choices on the menu. The food was excellent, the portions just right, with fast service for this type of menu despite the fact they were a bit short staffed the night I was there. They will also tailor any dish to suit your taste or desires, it's not an assembly line pre-prepared type of establishment like so many Indian places are.
The seating and ambiance was quite comfortable and it was easy to carry on a conversation with our friends. The location is good, and it's possible to find parking quite near the restaurant if you are driving. This was a huge plus as many of our other Indian favorites can be quite a challenge when it comes to parking and access. The dining area is also handicap accessible, and with the parking as previously mentioned it's not a huge ordeal getting to/from your transport.
If you are looking for north Indian cuisine, I highly recommend this place.
It is strange to see Indian restaurants closing when they were once the go to place for eating out.
But here is one Indian restaurant you woudn't want to loose.
The ambience of the place is superb with tasteful decoration and lighting to provide an intimate feel.
It isn't the largest restaurant you will eat in but you I've never had a problem getting seated during the week. To be on the safe side it might be best to book if you intend visiting on a Friday evening or during the weekend.
The menu is extensive providing a dish to suit most paletes. As for the food the quality is first class seved up in unique dishes -- something I've not seen in any other tandoori restaurant.
There is an added bonus for drivers. Try the Masala tea. It is excellent.
In my opinion you won't be disapointed with Jhas Tandoori. And if your experience is anything like mine you will go back time and again.
Have been here a few times for takeaway. Food is nice and price is OK compared to nearby competitors. The staff are friendly too.
