An out of the way place in a beautiful location - unique, quirky and very welcoming. Pre-ordering makes the service very efficient. Great food. Bought goats cheese to enjoy at home which had a subtle flavour and was delicious. Overall experience highly recommended. Thank you to all the staff.
Fabulous place, brilliant service and fantastic food in a stunning position. We will definitely be back and I can't wait x
The Bull Shed website is well worth reading before you go. You’ll have to do it and book it up to a month before your visit as limited availability makes this popular restaurant something you’ll have to plan for but it is worth while.
The atmosphere is cosy but even on a hot summer’s day, as in our case recently, it can still feel a tad on the cool side in this 18th century, waiting room for the dairy herds about to be milked. On colder days they light the log burner and I can imagine that to be an even more congenial experience. We will certainly be returning from time to time.
As you’d expect the experience is rustic with branded, wooden serving trays and cast iron sizzler plates, all adding to the feel of this friendly restaurant.
The food was very good and the portions would satisfy the hungriest diners. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish my meal, but next time we’ll share the starter, which was a meal in itself. The Bull Shed team are very friendly and on the ball. We arrived on time and didn’t have to wait long to be served. The food was piping hot, very tasty and nicely presented. You’ll need to take cash, which I’d forgotten. There is no signal whatsoever at the restaurant so card machines just wouldn’t work. Despite my oversight, the embarrassing, close to pot-washing situation was rescued when the manager gave me the option to pay by BACS when I got home. I’d never been there before, so we were unknown to them, making this act of trust particularly friendly and very much appreciated. The experience was complete. Cosy location, great food, lovely people and definitely recommended. And I didn’t forget to pay them when I got home. 😅.
