This is my favourite coffee shop in Beeston. Lovely area to sit out, great coffee served by the nicest of baristas. But why does the staff change so rapidly? I've lost count of the number of baristas The Bean has lost. Good staff are hard to find: invest in staff and they stay!!

‘As a coffee enthusiast’... I love it here. The staff are enthusiastic with a gentle spin- none of that loud, hip braggadocio so beloved of other, more forthright emporia. You’re not asked for your name, they know which coffee you have ordered and it is served at the perfect temperature- no scalded tongues here. The students go upstairs and the seating area outside is lovely on the two days a year Nottingham is sunny. I just wish it was a smoke free zone outside. They also have a ‘pay it forward’ coffee scheme that adds a warm glow to your day.

Love to sit under the awning outside The Bean. The coffee is superb and I was even offered oat milk when I asked if they serve soya milk. That was a bonus ! The staff are always pleasant and professional .
