Cute little coffee and dessert/chocolate shop. The classic frozen hot chocolate is refreshing and tasty, not too rich. It’s fun to sit outside on a warm day and people watch outside Bath Abbey.
The most decadent chocolate desserts you can imagine.
The cafe is quite large with two rooms for sitting. Service is very friendly and helpful.
The food is just crazy. Don’t go here if you worry about weight/cholesterol/general health. The chocolate treats here are out of this world good.
Highly recommend
Chocolate heaven! If you’re a fan of decadent, rich and chocolate heavy desserts, search no further. Every cake, cookie and dessert bar had some form of white, milk or dark chocolate. One also has the option of adding a chocolate drizzle on desserts.
The milk chocolate mousse cake consisted of a chocolate cake topped with milk chocolate mousse and milk chocolate ganache. The mousse was silky and smooth, however a bit too sweet.
The carrot cake was our favorite, as the moist carrot cake with raisins and nuts paired lovely with the white chocolate cream cheese and was neither too sweet nor too heavy.
The chocolate cake consisted of a rich and moist dark chocolate sponge, thick layers of dark chocolate ganache, and a white chocolate merengue frosting. The chocolate ganache layers are very thick, too thick, making the cake very heavy.
The chocolate chip cookie sandwich with a thick, dark chocolate ganache were delicious! Buttery and rich with a hint of salt.
At £5.50 per slice, the cakes are not cheap. The staff was polite, not overly friendly. They should improve their packaging of take-away goods. They packed each cake individually into a separate box. As we bought 3 cakes and one cookie sandwich, we were given 3 cake boxes and one paper bag for the cookie sandwich. It’s quite a waste of materials and rather unsustainable.
