A splendid time spend at surrounding building. One of the four bridges in the world with shops on both sides. Well preserved architectural with added greenery scenery. Incorporated a man-made cascade water flow generate water fall sound to add excitement feel on usually calm river. A great place for family to spend time together. However the cafe cum plant nursery occupied substantial walking path on the bridge that endanger life, when vehicle approached. Should prohibit from having multiple pots along walking path.
Lovely bridge shame, its backside hasn't been wiped, so to speak. A little tidying up wouldn't go a miss or cost a lot.
I was last here about 35 years ago and the type of shops and cafes hasn't changed much.
Being a centre spot attraction should give the owners some pride to be there, but it all seems so tired.
The best place was the Thai Weir alongside the bridge which was an oasis in the Bath desert, perfect place to sit and watch the bridge, the boats and the numerous amount of people passing through the seating area who were oblivious to the fact that you could just have a drink and take in this lovely bridge.
An amazing view. I was here a couple of decades ago and this bridge and view of the weir is one of the main things that sticks in my head! I've seen it from the river, from the garden, from the road and bridge itself. It's just beautiful all around. Make sure to come check it out!
