We were headed to our bus and wanted something to quickly eat. Ordered a standard chicken mayo baguette with tomato and cucumber... needless to say we both thought this was the best food we ate during our trip.
Would highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
This is THE BEST VALUE tea-stop in Bath. Non-tourist prices and really well made cakes and sndwiches/panini. Perhaps a little cramped, but the two times we visited (lunch AND afternoon tea, we were so impressed), there was seating available in the upstairs 'coffee shop'. Prgaps because it's small frontage is easily missed? But seek it out - you won't be disappointed! Order (to take out and eat in) downstairs; waitress service (c/w smile) will bring your eat-in order to you upstairs. Jan 2020 prices were excellent: £8 for two (generous) pots of PG Tips tea and two cakes, and just £10.30 for two teas and two, very delicious panininis made to order and served with a side salad. You could pay that for ONE in some Bathonian eating establishments! We returned 'on the day'... and will definitely return on our next trip to Bath.
This is a gem of a place as far as I am concerned. Away from all the high street coffee shops it's possible to grab a quick coffee and a bun. It's also much cheaper, £2.20 for a pastie instead of £4 at more famous places and £1.25 for a cake. Coffee was pretty reasonable too.
