Visited the counter at Farringtons Farm shop. Friendly service, and when we enquired about some beef for Sunday roast, we were shown the prime rib. It’s a bit pricier than other cuts, but well worth the money. We brought it up to room temperature, seared it for about 5 minutes on both sides then cooked in the oven at 180 (if you have a meat thermometer, 58-60 degrees will get you medium/medium rare which is how you want to serve it. Then leave it to rest for 20
minutes. Plenty left for a couple of sandwiches. Excellent quality and will look forward to trying other offerings from this butcher.
Got 6 steaks from here the other day (£5-6 each). For the same price as any shop these steaks were delicious. The staff was very friendly and helpful when choosing cuts of meat too. Will definitely be returning.
Just realised it's been a year since I last put a review/recommendation up for this splendid, proper butchers. Perhaps it was the massive beautifully marbled t bone steaks we had delivered today as an anniversary treat, its become a tradition 😋
Also had a variety of their own brilliant sausages that I can't wait to get on the bbq
(These I've tried many a time before and you'll be hard pushed to find some on par let alone better)
Keep up the good work folks 👏
