I had the spicy mixed meat with chips for £9.70. Relatively cheap and big portions that made two meals for me. Of all the chinese places I've tried, this one was the best.
The meat tasted fresh, at least didn't have that old taste or gross aftertaste many chinese places can have, the sauce to the meat was reasonably spicy and tasty. The garlic chips were thick, crunchy, cooked well and very nicely seasoned.
I will definitely come back here, I hope other menu items are as good!!
2nd time: curried beef was good, a little sweet but not overwhelming like other chinese places are. Very nice.
Other times: 'Hot sauce' is not actually hot sauce thankfully. Some east asian paste. It is not bad but inferior to hot and spicy. I had the hot sauce mixed meat which included duck.
Also had the spicy garlic chicken. This one was not so great. Notba flavourful sauce and hard overcooked chicken. I think beef might always be best as it wouldn't harden from long cook time.
The special chinese style roast chicken was a bit weird since they stuffed in some duck and prawns too... but overall was alright, large portion too but not my favourite.
Service was very good, polite and quick.
Ordered for four, with two dishes very nice (chicken curry & Chicken Chow Mein). Hot, tasty fantastic and would recomend. Disappointed in the two other dishes (sweet and sour chicken, and Chicken Satay). The sweet and sour was quite bland with both the satay and sweet & sour being quite salty. Both were edible, but I'm sorry to say I wouldn't order the same again.
Having said that. The service and fantastic two dishes would mean I'd use the establishment again, but try different dishes.
After having a few drinks this Chinese was great.
£9 for chicken ball, rice, chips and curry sauce (full portions) which is very decent.
Staff - friendly enough. Understood our Glasgow accent alright.
Food - portions were good - 12 chicken ball and curry sauce tub was big - tasty and a good flavour.
Chips were a little crispy and were those steak cut chips. Not the usual kinda chips I'm used to from a Chinese.
Would recommend.
