12 of us visited Vintage Kitchen for afternoon tea to celebrate my 40th Birthday. From the moment we arrived we felt more than welcome and nothing was too much trouble for Victoria. The kitchen had been themed with decorations for my birthday which I thought was a lovely touch. The drinks menu was unlimited and had various teas, coffees, hot chocolate and pink lemonade. I'm not a fan of tea or coffee but tried the mojito tea and the spiced plum and berry tea which were both delicious. The main event was obviously the food which was served with vintage crockery and cutlery. The food was tasty and plentiful beginning with a variety of sandwiches accompanied with kettle crisps. This was followed by a beautiful homemade quiche and salad. Scones with cream and jam came next before Victoria presented me with a yummy cupcake with a lit firework candle and my party sang happy birthday to me. Now came the finale of delectable home made cheesecake and other delicious cakes and sweet treats. We had a fabulous time and the 3 hours went far too quickly. I'd like to thank Victoria for inviting us into her home, being a fabulous hostess and working hard to make my night perfect. Vintage Kitchen comes highly recommended and we will most definitely be visiting again and are looking forward to the Spa Log cabin opening for a bit of relaxation time. xxx
