We've now visited the restaurant twice. On the first occasion I had the fish & chips and my fiancé had the mixed grill. The fish was fresh with crispy batter and was not greasy. The mixed grill was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was pleasant even though they were busy and the food arrived promptly. The staff were lovely. This inspired us to make a return visit to try the breakfast buffet. We were not disappointed. It was also remarkable value.
I recently visited here with my 2-year-old son, and while I can’t comment on the food, I have to rave about their play area. It was a fantastic experience for my little one. The play area provided a safe environment for him to explore and have fun while I enjoyed a bit of relaxation. The staff ensured that the area was well-maintained , giving me peace of mind. My son had a blast, and it was wonderful to see him so engaged and happy. If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with a great play area for toddlers, I highly recommend it checking out
The food here is decent. I had the chicken and half rack of ribs and my wife had the mixed grill. Both were very tasty. The ribs were particularly good and my wife felt that the steak on her mixed grill was very good. We had desserts which were good too.
The service was great overall and the food arrived quickly. It is a little annoying that sauces (ketchup, mayo, etc) are not readily available and you have to ask for them. I'd eaten half of my meal before the waiter arrived (via a quick chat with a colleague) with a tiny pot of ketchup!
In terms of value, it was worth it, but we had a 40% off voucher courtesy of the mother-in-law. At full price, I'm not sure I'd still be saying it was good value. Ultimately it's a Brewers Fayre, they serve pub grub. It's slightly better than Wetherspoons but also costs slightly more.
I'd probably visit again, but only if I had another money off voucher.
