A real gem of a place. The staff are always friendly and the food is superb (especially the sausage barms and cream teas in the cafe bit). Great ambiance and character, and all the better for being a community-run project. I was very happy to see the pub win the recent competition for solar panels, and the newly-remodeled beer garden at the back is a lovely addition. Definitely one of our favourite places in the Peak District; so much so that we often ensure that our cross-country walks are deliberately planned to end up here for a much-needed drink and a warm welcome.

We had a fantastic supper in the Anglers Rest Bamford, highly recommend the vegetarian wellington and Richards pie. Just had a lovely sandwich in preparation for our drive home - it’s sandwich week so go and try the some their specialities.

Quaint, friendly. Lovely lunch menu with a bonus view. Surprisingly fly spacious inside, and a great beer menu.
