One of the best places to eat in Northumberland. Oysters great. Very good service even when busy. They will leave tables empty to maintain the top quality food and service

Lovely Sunday lunch at Mizen Head. We were made to feel very welcome and the waiters were very helpful. A high chair was set up for our granddaughter on the end of our table for 6 adults. All the starters were delicious and good sized portions. 5 of us had the roast beef with Yorkshire and veg and 1 had a seafood curry. All agreed the food was fantastic.

7 of us had an amazing meal at the Mizen head on New Years Day. Food superb, the Venison with Bearnaise sauce was the best venison I've ever had. The ice creams are fantastic too. All those having various seafood and fish dishes were equally impressed. Our only minor problem was that the Venison was brought out first and by the time everyone else's dishes and the veg and chips were brought out, it was cold. However this was rectified by the staff with fresh venison dishes without any problems at all (in fact the portion size was increased and if anything the second one looked better than the original) It's our 3rd visit to the Mizen Head and we'll certainly be back next time we visit the area.
