Good shop overall with minor issues which I won't mention, it's why I'm giving 4 instead of 5. They have a somewhat decent selection of vegan alternatives which is almost unheard of for a local independent small shop, that's what makes this shop good. The selection is far better than you'd expect for that type of shop. I was pleasantly surprised. If this shop were in a town or city I wouldn't be interested as there are other shops which are better (such as supermarkets, because they open early and close late and have far better selection of stuff), but because this is one of the most northerly shops in the UK that's what makes it fun, especially given that it's actually got some vegan stuff! I also like that they've got trolleys, that makes it feel more like a supermarket.
Very well stocked shop in a remote area. Fresh fruit and veg is delivered on Tuesdays so there wasn't much left when I visited on a Monday. They bake too, but there was no wholemeal bread. They had lots of unexpected items such as pesto, almond milk, tofu and olives.

Great place to stop for fuel and get some coffee and sweets for our day trip to Unst. Friendly staff and well stocked store.
