Some of the best fish and chips I've ever had. Had a Cod Supper. Tasty, not excessively greasy, unctious batter, chips nicely browned. Order from the booth. Told it was a 25-minute wait but was about 15 minutes maximum. Eat in the sit-in area or sit by the harbour looking out which we did. Feels like a real seaside experience.
This place has won awards for its seafood and I can see why! During the summer there will usually be a long line of people waiting from opening until close, but I found the length of time to wait was pretty standard. Probably waited about 15 minutes from order until I was walking away with a bag full of fish suppers.
Staff appeared to be working efficiently and there was a jovial atmosphere; even though they were busy, there was still time for them to greet me like I was their first customer as opposed to maybe being the hundredth that day!
The food was delicious, not greasy at all despite being fried. Chips were good; portion sizes were plenty big. Kids enjoyed their meals too, again adequately sized; definitely don't be ordering an adult portion for anyone under 16 😂
Took out meals down to the beach to eat them. Perfect, quiet little place.
I'll be ordering again next time I'm in Ballycastle 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Our tour of the Antrim Coast stopped in Bally Castle and we found Morton's. The fish n chips were SO yummy. Made fresh to order which wet loved.
