What an amazing little coffee shop this is! It’s a gem to someone like me who came to Bakewell to watch my family participate in the 13 mile trek in support of Alzheimer’s. I had a nice bite to eat and a drink. The breakfast was hot and freshly cooked with quality ingredients. Lovely atmosphere in a little cafe like this one, would definitely recommend. :)
Came upon this family-friendly café just around the corner from the Tourist Information Office and close to the medieval bridge. It was Sunday and the café was almost full, but I managed to get a nice table near the bar. The waitress was both courteous and efficient. The interior of the café is an attractive combination of rustic stone walls and stylish modern furnishings, and there's a choice of seating ranging from bar stools by the window to comfortable leather sofas, as well as some tables outside. A good selection of light meals on the menu including breakfasts, bagels and baguettes. Plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans. Decided to go for a local speciality and ordered the Derbyshire oatcake with cheese, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and fried egg. Because the staff were so busy, it took that bit longer to get my meal, but when it arrived at my table it was well cooked and presented, piping hot and really tasty. Nice coffee too. Overall a satisfying lunch and not expensive.
Me and my dad visited this lovely cafe today in Bakewell. It is gorgeous with lots of lovely decor and nice. The food was delicious and the staff are really nice and friendly. Always there when you need them. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is visiting Bakewell. We dined in and had lunch.
