This is the highest restaurant in the UK at an elevation of 1097 meters above sea level. It's a place you must go to at least once if you are in Scotland or visiting Scotland! During summer, the view is fantastic, and I believe in winter time even more dramatic!
The restaurant has a nice soup of the day and good sandwich options. In the lower part, the cafe also has a wonderful window view and choices of coffees and teas, as well as brownies and other bites.
Loved this place especially on a clear day like today, when we visited, with clear blue skies and views that were hard to beat. Not busy on the day we visited. Hot food and sandwiches available. Viewing terrace was open but ongoing works prevented further exploration. Plenty of parking but paying the £3 exit fee proved difficult for several people in the queue in front of us. Sat for a good 15 minutes until they hot the hang of it eventually. Doesn't bode well for the coming holiday season and I can see large queues developing at the exit barrier.
First time up since the refurb. Restaurant is great! We chose some very tasty ribs, crispy potato wedges, jacket potato with venison chilli, and helped ourselves from the really good salad bar.
Panoramic film is a nice addition.
Views are as spectacular as ever.
