First time visiting this pub for a birthday celebration meal. First impressions was that it was nice and warm. The bar area is a little dull, but down the steps to the tables and it was like being in a different place. Nice decor, comfortable seats and tables that don’t harbour bits of dropped food in the cracks. Big tick right there! The food was good as was the service, although they could have been a little more attentive at the end of the meal as we had to go up to the bar for more drinks and to ask for the bill. What we found very impressive was the condition of all their glasses used for drinks. They were immaculately clean and polished. Very enjoyable evening and we will return another time. Sadly forgot to take any pictures.

It was midweek so the pub was very quiet hence the lack of atmosphere. The staff were lovely and chatty. The bar staff are always great, hard to get an atmosphere in an almost empty pub.

Nice country pub with a warm welcome. Great for a special meal out or Casual dining. Excellent choice of wines, beers and spirits. Has a large function room attached too for events. Plenty of parking. It's somewhere I won't get tired of visiting .
