Went for a Sunday lunch after a lovely autumn walk roast lamb cauliflower cheese and all the extras.. Everything was spot-on and very high-quality. Roast and fantastic service and a lovely landlady and landlord
My primary reason for a review is the outstanding asset a young waitress is to this place.
On Sunday 11JUN a walking group arrived at the Swan, later than expected, and hot and thirsty. The weather was extremely warm that day but from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, a young lady could not have done enough for us. She had that rare gift of anticipating our needs before we asked. She was sharp, friendly, very efficient, positive, offering multiple jugs of iced water along with soft and firmer drinks, took our orders first time and without fault, delivered all at the same time, checked, and generally treated us as well as anywhere I've been. I would employ this lady in an instant, a classic example of pure potential. The food wasn't bad either. That's enough said. Thank you so much for your excellent service.
Really enjoyed this pub for some lunch, the brie & bacon sandwich was delicious and I would definitely recommend. The pub itself was really cute and I can see the garden would be perfect for when it's a little less windy! The service was great and we will definitely be returning.
