Visually striking place, full of art, light airy feel with great views.
We approached the counter each time we needed something rather than staff coming to our table. Although a gentleman (owner?) Talked to us.
Not busy on our visit.
It's a nice atmosphere, staff seem happy and relaxed, however I felt a little like I was intruding into a family home!
Staff personal effects on a table where customers have to pass is wide open to theft (A handbag and a laptop)!
I had a lady stand next to me whilst I was eating, making me feel uncomfortable. (Staff family member)
Our meal was really nice, bottomless tea is fabulous.
Sadly, the cake was quite dry.
On street parking for blue badge holders. Not sure if there is a lift for wheelchair users?
Thank you.
Visited yesterday for lunch and a long overdue catch up with my cousin. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, I had the fig and goats cheese salad and my cousin the quiche. Both were delicious and plentiful. Tea was 'bottomless' and the cakes that we treated ourselves to later very fresh and tasty. Because we'd not seen each other in a very long time we spent almost 3 hours here and were treated pleasantly
and courteously, and told to stay as long as we needed. Excellent!
A lovely gallery cafe just off the main square in Ashbourne. So great installations and exhibits. A pleasant surprise as you walk up the stairs and are presented with a table of homemade and locally sourced cakes. The service is really efficient, calm and not pushy.
We struggle as a family due to allergies and intolerances. Mark came over and was so helpful, so we were all able to order easily, with slight changes to the menu.
Bonus…. if you buy one tea you can come back later in the day and have another.
It’s always nice to try and support local businesses, and it’s so rewarding when it turns out to be so good.
