We were here for dinner on a Saturday night. Quite a small place; maybe only 8 tables or so? (recommend booking)
The night we were there they appeared to be short staffed; the owner was the only person waiting the tables. As we were there with kids the owner said to the room/other diners that we would be getting served first to cater for the kids! No necessary but appreciated nonetheless.
The food itself was excellent. No two ways about it. Obviously home cooked to order. None of the generic brown, red, yellow sauces you see in many other Indians. Also, it was quite "light": it didn't leave you with the heavy, bloated feeling you can sometimes have after a curry. Half and double portion requests were handled seamlessly.
I can thoroughly recommend Opurbo and if I'm back in Arbroath I'd certainly go again.
Clean, bright uncluttered restaurant. Warm welcome that was just right. Food was very good indeed and was obviously cooked to order. Price was reasonable and with such an establishment Arbroath is very fortunate. I will most certainly be back.
Been going for years, not only the best curry in Arbroath, the best in Angus, and the North East of Scotland. Darling is a star
