Great little place in Red Wharf. Okay, technically it is in Angelsey, not Conwy, but it is a great pub with lovely atmosphere and the best fish n chips you will ever find. Great crunchy, crispy batter with perfect moist white fish inside. Actually, the fish was so good I barely touched the chips, but they were nicely made as well. The set up is that you order from the bar and they give you a numbered wine bottle to place on your table so the server knows where to bring the food. I enjoyed this place immensely. Had a lovely conversation with some visiting Scots at the next table.
Such a brilliant location. Food was excellent. Goat cheese tartlets for starters. Perfectly crispy fish and chips. Reviews are right - the chowder is delicious. Finished off with half a pint of nostalgic sherry trifle. Shout out to Gen who is a breath of fresh air.
Attended on a Monday late afternoon / evening at the beggining of winter half term. Access from the main road is good albeit tight if in a larger vehicle but in keeping with all the roads in the area. Site is a really good old fashioned pub with a really nice atmosphere. Very dog friendly with a small inside room catering for dog owners and plenty of outside space / tables. Busy and small bar area but well staffed and managed. Good amount of room inside, typically sprawling and tight passages for a pub / building of this age. Great service from all staff we encountered. Friendly, helpful and accommodating. Cant speak to its accesibility but would suggest wheelchair users are best served staying outside which is spacious and well laid out. Amazing views and literally you walk across the car park and onto the beach. Food at our visit was very good, the Chowder was fantastic and a really generous portion (We had the main course not starter option). We also had the chilli king prawn starters and Salt and Pepper squid which was very good. Overall very easy to reccomend.
