Very enjoyable meal at Misto. Staff is very helpful and works so hard. No reservations, just walk-ins, so expect to wait a while if it's busy. We waited 40 mins before being seated indoors. It's worth a visit as there are a few choices for something different.. Didn't get a 5 star because it is not exactly authentic Italian food, but it's very tasty.

Fantastic Italian restaurant in the very popular Ambleside. After a brief wander around the centre we really liked the look of Misto and got a table on walk-in for lunch (before the restaurant got very busy by 2pm). All staff were very friendly and prompt with their service. The interior style is quirky modern and cosy, and there was a nice atmosphere and buzz of people chatting and all enjoying their meals. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. I was particularly impressed to find gluten free gnocchi (first time in a UK restaurant in +20 years), and the gluten free pizza base was one of the best I have had (we even overheard another person double checking their pizza was definitely gluten free as they said it was so good). I would go out of my way to go here again, a very nice place and overall dining experience!

Ok what can I say the staff was great the food was good the starter was good but the pizza was soggy and you can tell it was cook in an oven not a pizza oven over all pretty cheap would come again
