I felt I needed to try all three courses so started with deep fried Brie ...oh wow just amazing!! Then I chose the mushroom and asparagus risotto which was the best risotto I have ever had! Also ordered extra cheesy garlic ciabatta and skin on fries but couldn’t eat much of the sides as the main was such a generous portion. Now for dessert... I struggled to make my mind up so really need to visit again and again just to taste the other desserts. I settled on the cornflake tart with custard and was definitely not disappointed with my choice... absolutely the best meal I have eaten for a long time and will certainly visit again soon to enjoy more from the menu!
The food was superb and well presented.
Great Beer, a good range of wine's and a good selection of Gin's.
The place itself is just lovely, lots of cosy rooms on several levels, yet open plan, full of character.
Apparently a family run pub, with parents and step daughters front of house and Son's (qualified chefs) in the kitchen.
Also BQ's on some weekends, and the views from the large gardens, are just breathtaking.
Would highly recommend, well worth a visit, you may be worth booking a table for food though.
We have been here numerous times now and every time we have come we’ve had delicious food, no complaints at all. It’s a really lovely place, with friendly staff and a great beer garden. Would certainly recommend to anyone!!
